Our Accountant prepares financial information by researching, analyzing, reconciling accounts and performing month-end, quarter-end and annual accounting close process for 10-15 privately held entities (real estate, investment management).

Key Accountabilities:

• Prepare financial statements on a quarterly basis, including cash flow statements, by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger. Analyze and investigate variances to prior year results and to budget.
• Perform accounts receivable billing function to suppliers, tenants, and affiliated entities. Initiate ACH bank collections and apply payments.
• Post daily cash transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Reconcile trial balance accounts
• Assist with department analysis, special projects, reconciliations, and compilation of information as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Minimum of 3-5 years accounting experience required
• Strong accounting background and working knowledge of GAAP
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced changing environment with high volume of transactions; organization, detailed orientation, flexibility and resourcefulness is required
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; use of excel required
